Royal Events by Melissa is a privately owned business located in Indianapolis, Indiana. I have always had an interest in planning events beginning at an early age. I took my passion for creativity, attention to detail, and desire to create events that are memorable and started an event planning business.
About Melissa
1. My favorite part of planning an event is seeing the look of surprise and appreciation on the guest of honor's face as they see how important they are to friends and loved ones at their celebration.
2. My first events at the age of 9 included a surprise party for my parents' 11th anniversary, my grandparents' 40th anniversary, and my 3rd grade teacher's birthday. Surprise parties are my favorite!
3. When I was younger I learned to bake from my maternal grandmother. She bought me my first baking tools and I used to bake in my mother's childhood metal easy bake oven. Today I keep cupcake sprinkles in my spice rack instead of herbs.
4. My entrepreneurial spirit is inherited from my father. I started selling cookies and baked goods to neighbors at the age of 8.
5. I grew up in a large family that was full of love and I believe in celebrating life's milestones with the ones you love most.
6. My attention to detail makes me a bit of a perfectionist. Perfect for place settings.
7. I love all things glamorous, but believe less is more.
8. I believe birthdays are the one holiday that should be celebrated more as is it the one day that is all about you. If you like to indulge, expand beyond a day to a weekend, week, or month.
9. I believe in savoring the sweet moments in life. Laugh, sing, love, take risks, and lick the last bit of frosting off the spatula.
10. I believe in taking care of your clients and creating relationships that last after the last piece of cake is eaten at the party.
